60 % Merlot, 30 % Cabernet Franc , 3 % Cabernet Sauvignon ,7 % Malbec “Saint Emilion, Nectar of Gods”” said Louis XIV. It is sure, we can hardly contest him! And as we are not stingy, we decided to spoil you with the Grand Cru version of Château Coutet. To better understand, let’s go to the Libournais region, on the right bank of the Dordogne river; A stroll through the vineyards of Château Coutet is like walking along the gates of heaven (no less!). Along the path figs, walnuts, peaches and pears compete for our favor. Fauna and flora thrive there, allowing the vine to reach its full potential without any chemical products. This explains why Saint Emilion and its vineyards are classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site! An ultra cherished vine which translates in the glass by notes of black pepper coated with aromas of ripe black fruit, leather, and a touch of menthol. On the plate, this exceptional wine will be appreciated with good meat such as confit gizzards, pan-fried calf’s liver, a generous cassoulet… In short, a table of kings within your reach…In all simplicity!”
